Publishing Principles

Our Mission

The Express CBD Blog exists to help everyday people make informed, confident decisions about CBD. We cut through the noise with clear, honest, and expert-backed content — whether someone is buying their first CBD oil or looking for a deeper dive into terpene profiles.

Editorial Independence

Our editorial content is driven by reader value, not commercial interest. While Express CBD Blog is connected to the Express CBD store, our reviews, comparisons, and educational articles are written objectively. We do not favour products simply because they are available in our store. If something doesn’t work well, we say so.

Accuracy & Evidence Standards

We take accuracy seriously in a space that is often full of misinformation.

  • All health-related claims are based on available scientific research or peer-reviewed studies, and are clearly attributed.
  • We distinguish between what is clinically established, what is emerging, and what is anecdotal.
  • We do not make medical claims or suggest that CBD is a treatment or cure for any condition.
  • Articles are reviewed and updated regularly to reflect changes in regulation, research, or market availability.

Transparency

We are upfront about who we are and how this blog operates.

  • We disclose our affiliation with the Express CBD store.
  • Sponsored content or affiliate partnerships, if present, are clearly labelled.
  • Product reviews identify whether samples were provided by a brand.
  • Named authors are real people with relevant expertise or lived experience.

CBD regulation varies across the countries and languages we publish in. We take this seriously.

  • Every article accounts for the legal status of CBD in the relevant territory at the time of publication.
  • We do not encourage the use of products that are illegal in the reader’s jurisdiction.
  • Legal information is provided for guidance only and is not legal advice. Readers are encouraged to verify local rules.
  • We clearly label the country context for legal guides (e.g. “CBD Oil in Scotland”, “Is CBD Legal in Spain?”).

Tone & Voice

We write for curious, real people — not industry insiders.

  • Language is plain, direct, and jargon-free. Where technical terms are necessary, we explain them.
  • We are friendly but never preachy. We inform without moralising.
  • Articles are practical first: readers should always leave with something useful they can act on.
  • We do not sensationalise CBD benefits or use hype language.

Content Categories

Our content falls into four core types:

  1. Educational — explaining what CBD is, how it works, types of products, and how to use them safely.
  2. Buying Guides — honest, criteria-based guidance to help readers choose products that suit their needs and budget.
  3. Product Reviews — independent assessments of specific products, tested against consistent criteria (strength, ingredients, lab testing, value).
  4. Legal & Regulatory — up-to-date country-specific breakdowns of CBD law across our publishing markets.

Multilingual Publishing Standards

We publish in English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, and Dutch. Each language version is held to the same editorial standards. Translations are not word-for-word mechanical conversions — they are adapted for local context, terminology, and regulation.

What We Don’t Publish

  • Content making unsubstantiated medical or therapeutic claims.
  • Comparisons that mislead through cherry-picked data.
  • Content targeting minors.
  • Reviews that have not been independently assessed.
  • Material that promotes products illegal in the reader’s jurisdiction.

Corrections Policy

If we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and transparently. Corrections are noted at the top of the updated article with the date of amendment.
