There is something so soothing about peppermint oil. It is quite possibly my favorite at home remedy for an upset stomach or jitters around social anxiety.
Combining CBD and peppermint as an ultra cooling and calming remedy is an absolutely genius idea. Botanic Wellness CBD TIncture Oil does this with precision.
There are many aromatic compounds, like terpenes that create the complex profiles of effects of CBD oil. While some might be stimulating or have sedative properties, others may have cooling effects in the body. Eucalyptol, also known as cineole, is a terpenes found in hemp flowers and eucalyptus trees. Similar to menthol, this terpene comes with a refreshing and minty smell and cooling sensation. This crisp and soothing sensation is not just enjoyable to the senses, it also comes with a few health benefits:
Therapeutic benefits of cineole:
- Anti-inflammatory
- Antioxidant
- Antimicrobial
- Anticancer
This can be incredibly helpful for improving the conditions of chronic illnesses associated with inflammation such as arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, and even respiratory and some cardiovascular diseases.
That being said, pairing this powerhouse herb with CBD has the potential to go the extra mile in settling your nerves, and restoring well-being.
Product overview
The Botanic Wellness CBD tincture oil is infused with 1500 mg of broad spectrum CBD. This CBD extract is blended into MCT oil and a mild dose of peppermint oil. The hemp used to produce their CBD is grown on farms with slightly warmer climates with the intention to increase the cannabinoid production within the plant’s flowers. This little boost increases the variety of cannabinoids present in the final product, providing a full-bodied effect for managing stress and wellbeing.
My experience
To dose this tincture oil, they suggest 10 drops under your tongue, averaging around 25 mg of CBD. When dosing, I opted to hold the drops under my tongue for 1 minute to let it absorb more into my bloodstream, rather than my digestive system. Not only is this a great looking product on the outside, the CBD oil itself is gorgeous.
The taste was very mellow, but the quality of the peppermint flavour was delicious and fresh. This actually paired well with my morning coffee, and I imagine would be great alongside a cup of tea.
Effects were noticeable around 50-60 minutes after dosing. It was initially very relaxing, followed by a softening of tension in my shoulders and throughout my body.
I particularly enjoy taking this tincture before going out. This peppermint and CBD combo feels so cooling on a long hike, or even before a big meet up with the friends. It is so relaxing but keeps you clear minded. I am excited to bring this one out when traveling with friends, or at the next family wedding. What’s better than a little breath refresher that calms you down and keeps you comfortable on your feet?
