Trying the Peppermint 5% Full Spectrum CBD Oil by Nectar

Some of my most favourite CBD tinctures are flavoured with Peppermint. I find the immediate and long lasting cooling sensation pairs so well with the calming effects of CBD. Not only does the Peppermint keep my belly soothed, but it masks the aftertaste of an oily tincture so masterfully. 

When I saw this tincture I knew I had to give it a try!

Each bottle contains about 40 servings, with each dose rounding out to about 12.5mg total (5 drops). Nectar recommends holding the oil under your tongue for 1-2 minutes before swallowing, to increase absorption speed. I attempted this, but realistically held it there for only about a minute before it felt almost completely absorbed. 

My experience

The oil is a bold, olive oil tone, with a smooth and subtle texture and flavour. While I held it under my tongue I noticed a pleasant cooling effect from the Peppermint oil. It made my mouth feel fresh, unlike other CBD oils that may be overly bitter or medicinal tasting. 

The quality of the mint oil is top shelf. Almost the way a cold-pressed mint oil or tea would taste: full and floral. In no way was this tincture made using an intensely sharp Peppermint essential oil or flavouring. I honestly felt like I had finished off a cup of iced Peppermint and Hemp tea. 

Full effects of the tincture took about 50-60 minutes, but were very comforting and uplifting. I had a clearer mind, my mood felt balanced, and my ability to focus came easier throughout the day. This dose did not have a noticeably strong physical-sensation, but overall felt like it reduced my stress levels and excess inflammation in my body.
