Cannabinoids and brownies are an iconic combination, now this nostalgic duo have been upgraded in a modern twist, using non-psychoactive CBD! This perfect pair makes for a delicious edible experience; receiving all the benefits of cannabinoids without the couchlock and munchies. In this article we will show you how to make CBD brownies with ease!
Using cannabutter vs. cooking oil
When it comes to baking, ratios are everything. Each ingredient will modify the chemistry of the batter while baking, meaning some ingredients can add more chew, crunch, or moisture to your recipe.
Infusing butter with CBD is a popular way to mix CBD or other cannabinoids into baked goods, however it comes with some distinct textures and flavors. Depending on your personal taste, you may want to pass on the cannabutter technique and go for some classic cooking oil like canola or coconut.
CBD infused butter will bring a more cakey texture to your brownies, while coconut or vegetable oil will create a more fudgy brownie. Each impart their own flavor, so if you prefer fruity flavor a coconut oil might suit you better! All CBD oil can be frozen and stored longterm to maintain freshness.
